Supported States
NC and SC for the DMS. Anywhere for websites and marketing.
DMS: We are the software of the Carolinas. Our DMS is made for North Carolina and South Carolina used-car dealers. We do have a few dealers scattered across the country - if you'd like to help us launch in your state, contact us.
Marketing: Our website package and our Facebook Marketing product are 50-state products.
Operating System
Windows PC. Mac with Parallels.
Our software products are Windows-based. Any computer you plan to use the DMS on will need Windows 10 or 11 recommended (Windows 7 and 8 still work).
On a Mac? You'll need to install Parallels for Mac and run a copy of Windows inside it. Estimated cost around $220.
Internet Connection
Hardwired preferred. 10 Mbps down minimum.
The software accesses your database via the cloud, so a fast connection matters. Hardwired is the preferred method but wireless is fine if your signal is strong.
We recommend at least 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload. Run a speed test through Google to see what you're working with. Slow speeds can interrupt your use of the software.
Printers
Any laser printer for paperwork. OKIDATA dot matrix for multi-part forms.
Our DMS prints most forms on plain paper - any laser printer should work just fine. The software also supports duplex (front and back) printing.
For multi-part forms we only support OKIDATA dot matrix printers, ideally a 320 Turbo or 420 Microline. We've had dealers use Epson dot matrix printers but we don't support those.
Browsers
Modern browsers for the mobile inventory tool.
The mobile inventory side of KGI runs in your phone's browser. Any modern browser works: Safari (iOS), Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
