Day 02 - SEO Tips for Car Dealers | 🍎🗺️ Add your business to APPLE MAPS
More Automotive SEO All Daily Tips
Today's tip: claim your dealership on Apple Maps.
You have an iPhone. Your buyers have iPhones. When someone texts an address, it opens in Apple Maps, not Google. And most dealers have never claimed that listing.
How to claim your listing
- Go to business.apple.com and create a business account.
- Have your EIN ready.
- Be at the store when you verify, because Apple calls your business line.
Once you're verified, your dealership shows up on Apple Maps, on the dash in Apple CarPlay, and in Siri when someone asks for a used car dealer near them.
Why it matters
We're always chasing backlinks, and directory listings like this are the free and easy ones. Apple's domain rating is around 95, so a link to your website from Apple builds real trust with Google.
Here's the part most dealers miss: you can't see what Apple already has on you until you claim the listing. Apple pulled a lot of its early business data from Yelp. I verified a dealership yesterday and Apple was still running an old Yelp import with the wrong address and a dead phone number. Nobody at the store knew it was out there. Fixed in one sitting.
Ten minutes of work that covers every iPhone in your market.
